DETAILED ITINERARY (Ex-Delhi)
26th May 2019 (Sunday)
Day 1: Bus Journey commences from Delhi
Today, we would be departing from Delhi by 4pm in bus towards Kullu. Dinner halt en route. Night in the bus.
27th May 2019 (Monday)
Day 2: Arrival in base camp. ACCLIMATIZATION & ORIENTATION
We have to get down at Aut, from where we would be driving to our base camp in Sajwar village (2550m/8335ft). The base camp is located amidst the Tirthan River Valley, offering scenic views. After breakfast, we would be heading for a small acclimatization walk and come back to the base camp for lunch. After Lunch, there would be an orientation session about the trek followed by evening snacks and dinner.
28th May 2019 (Tuesday)
Day 3: TREK TO SOJHA (2600m/8600 feet) (5kms/6hrs)
After breakfast, we would be embarking on our first leg of the trek. Sojha is one of the most beautiful yet underrated villages in Himachal Pradesh. The trek to Sojha takes roughly 6hrs and the route passes through dense woods. You shall experience melodious bird calls, beautiful flowers, fresh flowing water and pure air on the go.
29th May 2019 (Wednesday)
Day 4: TREK TO RAGHUPUR FORT (3300m/10800ft) via JALORI PASS (8kms/6hrs)
After breakfast, we hike up to Jalori Pass (3125m/10250ft) which takes about 3hrs. Jalori is a high mountain pass connecting Kullu and Shimla. We find a temple of MahaKali Mata at Jalori Pass. The ruined fort of Raghupur lies 3kms above the pass and takes 3 hours from the pass. We shall trek through trees of Oak, Blue Pine, Spruce, Fir and Deodhar to reach the ruins of the fort. The fort is said to have been built by Mandi rulers to protect their kingdom from enemies and natural calamities. We get 360 degree views of the surrounding snow capped peaks of Kinnaur and Dhauladhar mountain ranges from this campsite.
30th May 2019 (Thursday)
Day 5: TREK TO SEROLSAR LAKE (3200m/10500ft) (9kms/5hrs)
Today, we hike to Lake Serolsar which is sacred to the locals. The hike takes roughly 5hrs. There is a holy temple of "Budhi Nagin" near the lake. The goddess is said to be the mother of 60 Nag-Devtas in Himachal Pradesh. Devotees offer Ghee in the lake to please the goddess.In the winters, the lake gets covered by a layer of ice. It is a pretty good experience to camp around this lake surrounded by trees.
31st May 2019 (Friday)
Day 6: TREK TO BASE CAMP (6kms/4hrs)
During today's descend trek, we would trek through forests of Jaloda & Kansar. We would witness creativity of mother nature in today's trek in form of unique rock formations, shiny water streams and splendid scenery. We end our 4-hour trek with lunch in base camp. Later, in the afternoon, we would drive back to Aut to catch our bus back to Delhi. Dinner en route. Night in the bus.
1st June 2019 (Saturday)
Day 7: Arrival in Delhi
Our bus is expected to reach Delhi by 9am. Group Breaks once the journey is complete and heads back home with wonderful memories of the adventure.
